On December 9, 2021, Zhongyu Group and State Power Investment Corporation Shanxi Electric Power Co., Ltd. joined forces to establish Electric Investment Zhongyu (Huairén) Clean Energy Co., Ltd.
The State Power Investment Corporation’s Zhongyu Huaren 100MW integrated solar-plus-storage project, an investment and construction initiative, is a key provincial project for Shanxi Province in 2022. Located in Xinjiayuan Township, Huaren City, Shuozhou Prefecture, Shanxi Province, the project boasts a total investment of 512 million yuan and occupies approximately 3,152 mu of land. Construction officially began on April 6, 2022, with the first batch of power successfully connected to the grid on January 1, 2023. The project achieved full-capacity operational approval on June 28, 2024.
Dual Benefits, Demonstrating Responsibility
◆ Economic Benefits: After full-capacity grid connection, the annual average power generation is expected to reach 177.77 million kWh, enabling an annual savings of approximately 54,200 tons of standard coal.
◆ Social Benefits: The project employs an innovative "photovoltaic-storage integration" model, providing the local area with a stable supply of clean energy, optimizing the regional energy mix, and generating long-term economic value.
◆ Ecological Benefits: Each year, this initiative reduces CO₂ emissions— a greenhouse gas—by approximately 147,900 tons, positively contributing to environmental protection and helping to curb air pollution in Huai Ren City.
