Recently, according to the selection criteria for Shanxi Province's Fen Shui Cup Awards, after initial qualification review, on-site re-inspection, deliberation at the selection committee meeting, and public announcement online, the Shanxi Provincial Construction Industry Association issued the "Notice on Announcing the List of Shanxi Provincial Construction Industry Association Fen Shui Cup Award-Winning Projects for 2022 and 2021 (Projects Located Outside Shanxi Province)." The No. 1 Teaching and Experimental Building of the renovation and expansion project at Shuozhou No. 1 Middle School in Shuocheng District, Shuozhou City—constructed by Shanxi Zhongyu Construction Group Co., Ltd.—has been honored with this prestigious award.

The Fen Shui Cup Engineering Evaluation covers a wide range of project categories, including residential buildings, industrial facilities, transportation (highways and railways), water resources, municipal infrastructure, and power projects. This initiative aims to uphold the principle of "a century-long plan—quality first," actively promoting the province's strategy for building a quality-driven economy. It also seeks to effectively guide Shanxi Province in strengthening its construction project brands, paving the way for the province’s construction industry to achieve high-quality development in the new stage of growth. Notably, the quality of the award-winning projects has been recognized as being among the best in the province. These projects are aligned with national-level awards, and the Shanxi Provincial Construction Industry Association is actively selecting and recommending member units’ Fen Shui Cup projects for consideration in prestigious national engineering awards, such as the Luban Prize from the China Construction Industry Association, the National Quality Engineering Award from the China Construction Enterprise Management Association, and the Installation Star Award from the China Installation Association.

The Shuozhou No.1 Middle School Renovation and Expansion Project—Building 1, a teaching and laboratory facility located at No. 9 ShanYang Street, Shuocheng District, Shuozhou City—was undertaken by our company. The building features a unique layout divided into three zones—A, B, and C—connected via corridors and tiered classrooms. With a total floor area of 15,621.75㎡, it stands five stories tall and reaches a height of 22.39 meters. Constructed using a reinforced concrete frame structure, this modern educational complex integrates teaching, experimentation, and office spaces under one roof. The construction cost for the project was approximately 60.85 million yuan. To ensure innovation in both technology and management, the project adopted a "model-leading" approach: before starting each construction phase, a corresponding model sample had to be completed first. Only after passing inspection by the supervisory team and the project management team could the phase officially begin. Additionally, the project actively engaged QC teams in tackling key challenges and promoted the widespread application of seven major categories and 17 sub-items from the "Ten New Construction Technologies (2017 Edition)," while implementing green construction practices that emphasized resource conservation, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental protection. An effective project quality management system was established, complete with detailed quality control standards tailored to each construction sub-item and section. These standards provided a robust framework for ensuring construction quality met or exceeded national standards and regulations. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies throughout the project, we achieved significant improvements in resource efficiency, operational productivity, and environmental sustainability, ultimately delivering outstanding economic and social benefits.
