In October 2021, the Group Corporation signed a minority stake agreement with State Power Investment Corporation, committing a total investment of 2 billion yuan and officially launching its strategic layout in the new energy sector. According to national project approvals, Zhongyu Group has already initiated development on five new-energy projects across two locations—Youyu and Huai Ren—specifically: the Phase I DianTou-Zhongyu (Youyu) 100 MW photovoltaic-plus-storage power project and the Phase I DianTou-Zhongyu (Huai Ren) 100 MW photovoltaic-plus-storage project, both approved in 2021; the Phase II DianTou-Zhongyu (Youyu) 110 MW photovoltaic-plus-storage project, approved in 2022; the Phase II DianTou-Zhongyu (Huai Ren) 100 MW photovoltaic-plus-storage project, approved in 2023; and the 50 MW wind power project in Huai Ren, approved in 2024. These initiatives mark Shanxi Zhongyu Group’s official entry into the new energy industry and signal the beginning of an accelerated growth phase.
